COVID-19 Protocols

As a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA/OSTCAN), I follow COVID-19 guidelines and protocols as outlined by Ontario Ministry of Health and Ontario Public Health.

Since osteopathy is a hands-on manual therapy, the practitioner and patient will be in close contact with one another for the duration of the treatment.

For patient and practitioner safety, it is recommended that patients:

  • Wear a mask or appropriate face covering;

  • Sanitize or wash their hands upon entry to the facility;

  • Attend appointments on their own, unless the patient is required to be accompanied by a care-provider or the patient is under the age of 18.

The osteopathic manual practitioner will:

  • Wear a medical-grade mask;

  • Wash and disinfect hands in between patients;

  • Disinfect equipment and surfaces in between patients;

  • Provide hand sanitizer containing 70-90% alcohol to patients upon entry;

  • Use an air purifier within the treatment room.

If you are feeling unwell, are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in close contact with someone who has been asked to quarantine or has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact bgosteopathy@gmail.com to reschedule your appointment.
